Welcome To The Official Web Site of Boy Scout Troop 1, Brewster, New York.

We Belong to the Westchester Putnam Council BSA, Muscoot District. Originally known as the Longhouse Troop, we were registered in October 1910 as the 27th Troop during the 1st year of scouting in America and is known as one of the oldest continuously operating Troops.   The Troop , sponsored by the Brewster Lion’s Club since 1927, met at the Old Southeast Town Hall under the leadership of our first Scoutmaster Rev. Murray H. Gardner. Troop 1 draws most of its new scouts from Brewster Cub Scouting and most of the adult troop leadership can be recognized as former/existing Brewster Pack leadership.

We are still sponsored by the Brewster Lion’s Club and meet weekly at Brewster High School.
